
We thank our Agency Partners for joining us at the 2012 Harvest of Knowledge Conferences this March. These two days of collaborative learning would not have been possible without our generous hosts:
Over 350 representatives from nearly 150 Santa Clara and San Mateo County agencies gathered to share concerns and ideas. Kathy Jackson, Second Harvest Food Bank's CEO gave the State of the Food Bank, highlighting how services will grow to support the needs of our Partner Agencies. Drew Starbird, Ph.D. shared his work on the Hunger Index which measures the extent of hunger in the counties we serve. We also heard from Christopher Gardner, Ph.D., who introduced ways to engage clients and community leaders to build a strong community food system.
